A Diaspora-Led Integrated Development

HEALTHCARE & WELLBEING

As proud indigenes of Idoani, we know that good health is the very foundation of every hope we hold for our community. No one should be held back by preventable illness, turned away from an empty clinic, or left guessing about their health because there is nowhere to get checked. This pillar is dedicated to making basic, dignified healthcare accessible to every single person across Idoani—for our elders, our children, our mothers, and every resident who calls this land home

Revitalise Our Medical Facilities

We will turn our local health centres into places people can trust:

  • Renovate and equip all primary healthcare centres across Idoani with clean spaces, reliable power, clean water, and private consultation areas
  • Create dedicated zones for maternity care, child health, and general outpatient services
  • Work to ensure clinics are staffed consistently by qualified local health professionals
  • Build links to secondary care facilities so people with more serious needs get safe referrals

Free & Regular Community Medical Screening

We take screening to you, across every quarter and village:

  • Routine checks for common local conditions: high blood pressure, diabetes, malaria, typhoid, and eye health
  • Full antenatal and postnatal checks for expectant and nursing mothers
  • Childhood immunisation drives and growth monitoring for all children under five
  • Special sessions for sickle cell care, dental checks, and age-related health support for our elders
  • Mobile screening teams for remote areas and those who cannot travel easil

Guarantee Access to Basic Medical Supplies

No more arriving at the clinic only to find essential items are missing:

  • Maintain a steady stock of common medications, pain relief, malaria treatments, and antibiotics
  • Provide maternal health kits, wound care supplies, diagnostic test kits, and basic first aid materials
  • Offer free or heavily subsidised supplies for vulnerable groups: the elderly, pregnant women, and children
  • Keep stock records open and transparent to the community via this website

Health Awareness & Education

Prevention is our strongest tool:

  • Community sessions in markets, churches, mosques, and schools on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
  • Simple guidance on managing long-term conditions like hypertension and diabetes
  • Education on safe childbirth, family planning, and child nutrition
  • Clear information on how to spot warning signs and where to get help quickly
  • Work with our traditional rulers, religious leaders, and youth groups to share messages in ways that honour our customs and language

Our commitment

This work is led by Idoani people, for Idoani people. We partner with the Ondo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, medical indigenes at home and abroad, and trusted organisations to deliver results. We will share monthly updates here so you can see exactly what is being done, and how you can support or get involved.

A healthy Idoani is a united, progressive Idoani. We build this for our people, today and for generations to come.
